Federal Budget ‘won’t save’ the Coalition ‘from the Poll depths it’s in’

Australia News

The Australian’s National Editor Dennis Shanahan says the government is “relying too much” on the federal budget “to try and do too much”.

“There is no way any budget, let alone a budget with only eight weeks to go to an election, is going to save the Coalition from the poll depths they’re in at the moment,” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“I’m not saying that they’re going to lose the election or that the budget can’t help, but they’re expecting too much from the budget.”
