Climate Activism Spoiling Germany’s Survival Plans?

Going all-out to Reduce the Damage the Country Faces

Germany’s government is going all-out to ensure that the damage the country faces in the winter months due to an energy crisis is blunted as much as possible. Shortages of natural gas and crude oil threaten to bring economic activity in Europe’s largest economy to a standstill this winter season.

The focus of Berlin is on ensuring that hospitals and essential institutions, like hospitals and nursing homes do not have to face blackouts. However, Germany’s plans to minimise the pain of a crippling energy shortage seem to be hitting the climate lobby regularly.

Climate protestors agitated at the site of a German coal power plant on Monday. Demonstrators targeted both coal storage areas at the power plant and the rail lines used to transport fuel to the power station in Jänschwalde. Watch to know more.
