The leaders of China and Russia- Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, are making rare trips to Uzbekistan for SCO Summit amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine. Both China and Russia have long sought to position the SCO as an alternative to the western multilateral groups, they could possibly be closer to this aim now than ever before.
