Adelaide and ‘Smaller Capitals’ driving the Housing Market

Sales volumes are being driven in outer suburbs and regional areas, as remote work and lifestyle needs are seeing more people relocate to these areas.

REA Group Senior Economist Eleanor Creagh told Sky News Australia Adelaide’s sales volumes are “around nine per cent higher to date this year”, with this coming week looking “to be another strong week of auctions for Adelaide, with more than two times the volume of auctions than we saw in the corresponding week last year”.

Ms Creagh said there is an increase in interstate migration which can be attributed to people reassessing their lifestyle needs.
