The so-called reform prosecutors backed by Hungarian-American businessman George Soros are making American cities “far more dangerous” than they need to be, argues author Douglas Murray.
Mr Soros has vowed to continue funding “reform-minded prosecutors” and dismissed the notion their policies are to blame for crime spikes across the United States.
“These are people who believe in for instance, bail reform; that they believe will empty the American jails and will bring great justice to America,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“In reality, bail reform … is not reducing crime – it is as many people could’ve told him – accelerating crime.
“The New York Post showed this week there are people in New York who’ve been arrested up to 100 times and let out.
“So these sort of Soros-backed reforms are not reducing crime … they’re making cities far more dangerous than they need to be.”
