Labor Party ‘has to be consistent’ when dealing with issues amid Kitching claims

Former Labor MP Michael Danby says there should be consistency in the handling of issues within the Labor Party.

This comes as Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese is refusing to open an inquiry into bullying allegations made by the late senator Kimberley Kitching.

“How can we not examine this after everything that’s happened,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“You have to be consistent – you can’t just say if it disadvantages the conservatives, we should look at these kind of things and then when it happens to one of our own, fail to examine it.”

Senators Wong, Gallagher and Keneally have all denied the assertions against them.
