Morrison and Albanese are ‘in strife’ when it comes to ‘who the voters trust’

Sky News Peta Credlin says both the leaders of the Coalition government and the Labor Party are “in strife” when it comes to “who the voters trust”. A Newspoll survey recently revealed Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese was considered trustworthy by 44 per cent of those surveyed and Prime Minister Scott Morrison was trusted by 40 per cent. Ms Credlin discussed the results with former deputy prime minister John Anderson. “As Francis Fukuyama has written, high-trust societies are prosperous and are harmonious societies,” said Mr Anderson. “By definition, when trust breaks down, everything starts to unravel.”
