Case numbers have risen sharply across most of Australia for a virus that can have serious consequences for the young, old and immunocompromised.Tens of thousands of Australians are known to have contracted Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), this year.Experts say the surge in case numbers isn’t necessarily cause for alarm, with increased testing and surveillance picking up infections like never before.
